Ocala’s soil, climate, and plant palette have specific quirks, and we know them: sandy soils that need amendment, hot-afternoon sun exposures that demand Florida-friendly plant selection, and the fast-growing hedge species (podocarpus, viburnum, ligustrum) that define most landscapes here.
